I stayed at Ashoka for 4 days and 3 nights and enjoyed my experience. The location was convenient, with easy access to transportation, grocery stores, and various dining options. The staff, including two Filipina and one Indian national, were kind and accommodating. The room was clean and tidy, with good air conditioning and a comfortable bed. There were also useful amenities available, such as a microwave, refrigerator, and hot water. I felt that my money was well-spent for a pleasant stay at Ashoka.
Can recommend this hotel.

I request to change bedsheet during my stay for 4 nights but not even one time they change. Floor not mop, lazy housekeeper and dirty room. I felt not comfortable at all during my stay. I would not recommend to others. Some more have to q up to enter to lift. Wasting my time!!!

We had a great stay at a centrally located hostel. the staff, including Mr Gurdev, Raman, Paras, and the reception Filipino lady, were incredibly helpful and accommodating. the location was perfect, with easy access to the MTR and bus stations, making it convenient for getting around and to the airport. the hostel itself was clean and tidy, with daily room cleaning and fast WiFi. We also appreciated the personal safe provided for storing our valuables.
Considering the prices of other hotels, Ashoka Hostel offered good value for money. Cons: Nothing could have been better.

For me Ashoka is a very good hotel. It is situated near all shopping center (SOGO, I-Square, K-11, Harbour,...), MTR (TST), Avenue of Stars, Kowloon Park, Ferrys station... The decoration of the rooms is very nice and it's very clean. The staff is kind and efficient with a ageable atmosphere.

The value for money at Ashoka was great, as it was cheap and the room, although small, was clean and comfortable. The location was central and convenient for accessing the subway and exploring nearby attractions. The staff were helpful and provided good information.
The breakfast experience could be improved with more variety and options.

The price and location, right in the heart of the famous Chung King Mansion.
The room was tiny and without a window. The bathroom was crude but it did have a western toilet.

1. Very friendly helpful staff. Even-though the room is tiny, it is perfect, from floor to ceiling, excellent design and spotlessly clean !
The Entrance on the Ground Floor is a bit scary. It is not easy to find.

I had a warm and welcoming experience at Ashoka Hostel. The staff spoke excellent English and were very helpful in giving recommendations for vegetarian meals and sightseeing locations. They even followed up with airport authorities when our luggage was delayed. The room was clean and comfortable, and the hostel is conveniently located near public transportation and Victoria Harbour. I would highly recommend Ashoka Hostel for a pleasant stay.

My recent stay at Ashoka was surprisingly pleasant. The location was great, with easy access to attractions and transportation. The room had a functional window with a stunning view of the city. It was well-featured and included amenities like a hairdryer and free WiFi. The bathroom was clean and useable. Despite some minor inconveniences, like the shower not having a wall mount and the bed being a bit too hard, I had a reasonable stay overall. The staff were accommodating and attentive, and the hotel was well-maintained. I appreciated the convenience of having a Cafe de Coral branch nearby and being within walking distance of tourist spots. I would recommend this hostel for those looking for a budget-friendly option in the area.

It's easy to find if you follow the directions. Once you exit mta (the underground) from Exit e you need to cross the Nathan street and go straight in. Block a is the first set of lifts on your left. I booked an extra night and the owner Gurdev moved me to his other hostel in the same building. It's called Delta Hotel on 16'th floor. It is a lot nicer and newer. The staff in both places were kind and helpful.
